  • How do I start the process of installing electric car charging stations in my multifamily complex, condo, community development, hotel and/or office building?

  • How do our services differentiate from a manufacturer and/or the network provider?

    Operating a charging business on site is a complicated and expensive undertaking. Most companies offer varying components of the system. For qualifying properties, Greenspot is a full service, turnkey program that starts from design and planning to installing and operating the system. Greenspot assumes responsibility, for most costs, and offers the property a passive income stream.

  • Do you only install in existing properties?

    No. Greenspot can work with property owners to EV-enable upcoming or current builds.

  • Is installing EV charging stations for my property necessary?

    Nearly every major car company has announced certain dates when they’re going to stop developing internal combustion engines. Most will do so between 2030 and 2040. Properties that do not offer electric vehicle charging will be increasingly disadvantaged as the EV population increases. Electric vehicle charging is no longer an amenity, it is a necessity. In addition, the revenue generated from the charging stations can be accretive to the property NOI.

  • Is it possible to only allow my tenants to use the chargers?

    Yes. Our management software has built-in access control features providing Greenspot and the property manager authority over user admittance. Greenspot can also provide guest usage passes to important visitors.

  • How can I see how much electricity the chargers are using?

    Electricity usage is always visible through a customized management dashboard. Greenspot also provides rolled-up dashboards for clients who manage and/or own multiple properties.

  • What are the different types of chargers?

    There are three types of chargers: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Level 1 chargers take 10-12 hours to charge, and are typically only found in residential homes. Level 2 chargers offer a full charge in 2-6 hours and are typically found in public places, such as parking garages, hotels, and retail sites. Level 3 chargers, or DC fast chargers, can charge a battery in 30-45 minutes and are found in highly trafficked areas.

    Within each Level of charger, there are varying qualities by manufacturer and varying amperage (resulting in the timing range). Greenspot only installs high quality, commercial grade Level 2 chargers at 48 or 80 amps.

  • Is my car compatible with Greenspot stations?

    Greenspot charging stations are compatible with the widely adopted NACS standard, covering the majority of electric vehicles. If your car uses the CCS standard you’re able to use an adapter to charge.

  • How do I pay for the service?

    Single time users can pay by credit or debit card via the QR code printed on the machine. Regular users (e.g., tenants, and frequent guests) can store their payment information via our app.

  • How expensive is it to charge my car?

    Just like gas, charging an EV isn’t free. You should expect to pay $12-$25 per charge, which is still usually cheaper than gas. We aim to offer the lowest cost charging for you in your local area.

  • Do I need an app/account to use the chargers?

    We offer a guest checkout option where no app or account is needed. The app provides more features and is better/faster for tenants using the chargers on an ongoing basis.
